An impression of a few of my events:
LARGE For my large corporate clients, such as Hewlett-Packard, I have executed multi-day conferences that feature marquis-name and keynote speakers, product fairs and exhibits, and a full range of entertainment including tours and off-site dinners. These multi-million dollar events are typically held at notable hotels and resorts around the world, and include attendees from several continents, requiring me to apply a combination of cultural sensitivity, diplomacy and professionalism to meet the high expectations set by my clients.
Large budget and up to 1500 persons.
MEDIUM At an International Annual College of Surgeons meeting in Barcelona, I was responsible for managing both the production crews and physician speakers for a live surgery simulcast. The crews filmed the surgeries in Paris, London and Amsterdam, while an expert panel in Barcelona explained the innovative techniques being performed in real time to the meeting delegates. The success of this event—as well as several similar simulcast events—was contingent upon my abilities to manage logistics, cultures and personalities in multiple countries simultaneously.
Medium budget. Running a highly specialized medium sized event (750 persons) within a very large conference with 10’000 attendees.
SMALL As a member of MC theatre in Amsterdam, I was responsible for selecting and programming acts— ranging from DJs and bands, to painters and poets, to movies and VJs—for the group's Right About Now (RAN) events. The RAN events are held four times a year and are designed to provide inspiration to other artists—musicians, painters, designers, directors, writers and actors—by showcasing the talents and fresh innovations of colleagues from all over the world in a forum that features simultaneous, multi-room performances.
Small budgets with sponsorship money and up to 300 persons.
